Appointment Types

We offer various types of veterinary appointments based on your specific needs.

Technician Appointments

If your pet is healthy and just needs routine services such as vaccinations or nail trims, a veterinary technician appointment is a good option. Veterinary technician appointments are typically shorter and less expensive than veterinary visits. You bring in your pet and wait in the lobby or an exam room while a technician comes up and takes them to the appropriate treatment area (cat or dog). The technician will perform the requested service. This can include services such as:

  • Nail trims
  • Anal gland expression
  • Weight checks
  • Ear cleanings
  • Medication administration
  • Blood draws
  • Urine collection
  • Fluid administration
  • Progesterone/pregnancy test

As of February 1, 2024 we require all pets to have a current examination by one of our veterinarians in the last 12 months. This is necessary to maintain a valid veterinarian-patient relationship as required by law.

Drop-off Appointments

Veterinary drop off appointments are a convenient option for busy pet parents. You drop off your pet at our office in the morning and pick them up in the evening. During their visit, your pet will stay in one of our comfortable kennels and be taken outside three times during the day.  They will receive a physical exam, any necessary vaccinations, and any other services that you have requested. You will pick them up at a predetermined time in the evening (or earlier if the Doctor deems it appropriate).

If you like, you can even engage Leash to pick up and drop off your pet!  Information about their service is available at https://www.https://rideleash.com/

Veterinary Appointment

If your pet is sick or injured, or if they need a more complex service such as surgery, you will need to schedule a veterinary visit. Veterinary appointments are the typical visits with which most pet parents are familiar. On arrival, you are greeted by our customer care representatives who will weigh your dog and assign you to an exam room. The veterinarian will then perform a full snout-to-tail examination of your pet to identify any health issues, as well as any other diagnostic tests deemed necessary such as radiographs or heartworm tests. Veterinary visits are necessary for more complex services such as:

  • Diagnosing and treating illnesses
  • Vaccinations
  • Performing surgery
  • Administering anesthesia
  • Interpreting bloodwork and other lab results
  • Providing advice on nutrition, allergies, behavior, etc.

During a veterinary appointment you will have more time to speak with our veterinarians and ask any questions you may have about your pet’s health and care.
